Thiago Alcântara, the Liverpool midfielder, is reportedly looking for a way out of the club after a disappointing season. The Brazilian-born Spanish international joined the Reds from Bayern Munich in 2020, but he has failed to adapt to the Premier League and has been criticized by fans and pundits for his lack of impact.

The Spaniard’s current deal with Liverpool is set to expire in the summer of 2024

According to multiple media reports, Thiago has told his agent to find him a new destination, preferably in Spain or Italy, where he can play his preferred style of football. The 30-year-old is not happy with the physical and fast-paced nature of the English game, and he feels that he does not fit in with Jürgen Klopp’s system.

Since joining Liverpool in 2020, Thiago won 1 FA Cup, 1 Carabao cup & 1 FA Community Shield trophy with the British side

Turkish side Trabzonspor has reportedly made its approach towards the midfielder. However, Liverpool’s management doesn’t seem to be interested in this particular transfer. The Turks have less than 48 hours to seal the deal. They’re reportedly offering Thiago a “2+1” contract.

Should Thiago part ways with Liverpool in 2023?
