Nick Kyrgios: Djokovic’s the GOAT, but Federer was the hardest to play

Tennis
The 28-year-old Australian star believes Novak Djokovic is the greatest tennis player of all time, although Federer was a tougher opponent.

The Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios recently showed up at Mike Tyson’s “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson” podcast. During the conversation, Nick shared his thoughts on the tennis GOAT debate.

I think Novak is the greatest of all time, but for me, Federer was the hardest to play. Something about him… he was really aggressive and didn’t give you much room to breathe. No matter where you played him in the world, he was the fan favourite. Play him in Europe, America, Australia… everyone wanted Federer to win all the time so I think Federer was probably the hardest to play.

He also added that Rafael Nadal has always been the most comfortable opponent for him among the Big Three.

Nadal, my style – aggressive baseliner – matched up well against Nadal. He still beat me like a lot of times. I matched up really well against Nadal all the time [as] I had the most success against him, but Federer could make you feel really s**t.

Novak Djokovic has won the most Grand Slams (24) with Nadal on 22 and the retired Federer on 20, he has spent a record 393 weeks at No 1 in the ATP Rankings and also leads the head-to-head records against his nemeses
