Federer dreams of seeing Djokovic and Alcaraz team up for next year’s Laver Cup

The Swiss legend believes that Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz on the same team at the Laver Cup would be great for the tournament.

Swiss tennis legend Roger Federer answered the reporters’ question about the players he would like to see at next year’s Laver Cup.

Laver Cup is an international exhibition men’s tennis event. It is held on indoor courts between Team Europe and Team World (consisting of players from non-European countries). It takes place annually two weeks after the US Open. Federer is one of the tournament’s organizers and investors

I would like to see Novak again, Alcaraz and Novak on the same team. Sascha Zverev would also be great for the German market.

Roger also added which other players he would like to see there.

Someone like [Holger] Rune, that really hurt Team Europe. Rune and [Stefanos] Tsitsipas would be great, even though they pulled out this year. [Daniil] Medvedev would also be perfect. I also like watching [Andrey] Rublev, and maybe someone from these guys will come through.

Last week, the organizers announced that next year’s tournament will be held in Berlin. The competition is scheduled for September 20-22.
