The Whittier Christian volleyball team completed its fifth consecutive undefeated Olympic League season with a 3-0 sweep against Maranatha at home, Tuesday night.
The Lady Heralds finished the regular season with a 27-6 overall record, with an 8-0 mark in the Olympic League after the 25-20, 25-12, 25-16 win.
Throughout league play, the Lady Heralds lost just one set.
Deanna Blaine led the Lady Heralds’ offense with 14 kills, while fellow outside hitter Kylee Cooke added 13 kills.
Jennifer Washle tallied 37 assists and Nicole Santos led the team with 11 digs.
Freshman Leilia To’omalatai led Maranatha with eight kills.
Whittier Christian, ranked No. 1 by the CIF-SS in Division 2A, should have the top seed heading into the playoffs, which start next week.
