Members of the LHHS administration and district officially break ground on the new theater building.

Administrators from La Habra High School and the Fullerton Joint Union High School District officially broke ground on the new performing arts center at LHHS today.

The 24,981-square-foot facility will house performances by the Theater Guild, Improv Troupe, choir, band and dance program.

Construction on the 593-seat venue is estimated to take 18 months to complete and is funded by Measure I, the facilities upgrade bond that was approved by voters in 2014.

Construction on the new football stadium is set to begin in two weeks. La Habra soccer teams currently play home games at Orsonio Park on Hacienda Road.
