The holidays started early when the Southern California University of Health Sciences brought snow, fun and Santa for children and families to enjoy last weekend in East Whittier.
The cost of admission was an unwrapped toy for CHOC Children’s Hospital and guests were able to enjoy ice slides, playing in the snow, face painting, arts and crafts, a real reindeer and of course, a photo with Santa. This year he was supported by four Los Angeles Chargers cheerleaders.
Organizers of the event said they felt that it was an opportunity to bring holiday cheer to the community and help kick off the season.

Started in 1995, the La Habra Journal is an independent community news source serving the cities of La Habra and La Habra Heights.
